About

Hi, I'm Abel.

I've spent about a decade building data and AI systems for big companies in healthcare, pharma, life sciences, and finance.

Inside those companies, AI quietly saves teams hours every week. Outside them, most people I know got hype, demos, and prompts that fall apart on the first try.

The turning point was small. Someone close to me asked how to actually use AI for their business. They'd watched hours of videos and had nothing that worked. One workflow and twenty minutes later, a chore that ate their Monday mornings was gone.

The gap wasn't the tools. Nobody was showing the real steps.

So that's what I do now. The exact prompt, the real screen, and what to do when the output is wrong.

Workflows over demos.Proof over hype.Your judgment stays yours.

The Path Here

From Lab Data to Your Inbox.

  1. The Foundation

Bioengineering at Penn, then statistics and data science at MIT.

A B.A.Sc. in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science from MIT.

What it taught me: Complicated systems make sense once you break them into parts you can test one at a time.

  2. Research

Clinical data scientist in academic radiology.

Analyzing large medical imaging datasets in environments governed by strict patient-privacy rules.

What it taught me: Use only the data a job actually needs, and check the inputs before you trust any output.

  3. Industry

About a decade in data and AI, then AI systems for large enterprises.

Data strategy and analytics first, and now AI-native systems and agentic workflows for companies in healthcare, pharma, life sciences, and financial services.

What it taught me: What survives daily use is boring, checkable, and owned by someone. The flashy demo rarely makes it past the first month.

  4. Now

    Sharing what holds up.

Every post teaches one workflow I've built or used myself, with a free guide that goes deeper, and the newsletter walks through a full build every week.

What I Believe

The Rules I Work By.

  1. AI should make you better at the work you already do.

Not replace you. The goal is more of your week spent on the parts only you can do.

  2. Start with the boring work.

If you could hand a task to a new hire on day one with a page of instructions, that's where AI pays off first.

  3. Show the real thing.

The literal prompt, the real product on screen, and what broke along the way. A workflow you can't copy isn't a workflow.

  4. Never fake a result.

No invented numbers, testimonials, or overnight-success stories. If I haven't tested it, I say so.
